The Simms Midstream Hooded Jacket is an insulated mid-layer designed for versatile warmth in cool and damp conditions. It uses body-mapped Lavalan Sport wool insulation—60 g in the core and 40 g in the sleeves, hood, and side panels—to balance heat retention with reduced bulk. Abrasion-resistant nylon fabrics with a C0 DWR finish provide water resistance, while wool’s natural moisture management and odour resistance enhance comfort during extended wear. The jacket includes an adjustable hood for secure fit and visibility, YKK concealed-zip chest and hand pockets, and two interior mesh dump pockets, with the garment able to pack into one of these pockets for storage. Additional features include Lycra-finished cuffs for easy layering and a drawcord-adjustable hem for fit control.
