The Smith CB Nagamasa is a long, flat-bodied, centre-balanced jig designed for slow, horizontal sliding action. Its laser-edged back cuts water cleanly, while the flat profile catches resistance during a fall, encouraging long gliding movement when line tension is released.Ideal for slow jerks rather than fast, short pitches, it performs best when fished with intentional slack to allow for undulating slides. A slight lift of the rod tip (around 30 cm) followed by slack lets the jig drift naturally, making it especially effective for yellowtail amberjack.To avoid tangles during descent, it’s recommended to pinch the line gently rather than letting it fall completely free.
